At H2O Drying Solutions, we are people friendly. Today we are privileged to introduce to you the co-captain of our H2O Drying ship, Lorne James! For over 15 years, he has dedicated his life to providing his customers with fast and friendly water and mold remediation services. It has been a long time, so let us tell you how Lorne has grown to be this successful in managing both business and his personal life!
Lorne grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina with great friends, who he still shares a bond with to this date. He recalled his childhood being excellent with the absence of modern technology and the presence of long-standing bonds and memories. An interesting revelation is that H2O Drying Solutions is not Lorne’s first business. As a lad he meddled in grass cutting, gutter cleaning and weed removal under his small business called “Yard Boys”.
Since Charlotte had planted so much in him, it was only fair that he showed gratitude to his community by providing them with the best remediation services in the Carolinas. Lorne’s education was molded in the public school system where he attended West Charlotte Highschool. Immediately after, Lorne began his journey of giving back to others when he started serving his country in the United States Marine Corps in July 1991 while ranking as a Corporal. He continued serving his community in law enforcement after leaving the infantry in 1995.
With a passion for serving people and solving problems, Lorne made it his duty to join the remediation industry. He saw that there was a need for improved customer service, so he made it happen. Lorne can be described as the “Operations Manager”, where he interacts with customers, oversees technicians on the job and interacts with insurance companies. While managing the technicians is a part of his job description, Lorne is extremely joyful when he can work in the field with his team. Lorne is exceptionally proud of his high customer and employee retention rate. Working long hours and still having to manage a personal life could be tedious, but working with people who are reliable and willing to share the responsibilities is something that he treasures. Lorne emphasized the people made H2O Drying Solutions what it is today.
When he is not knee deep in water damage, Lorne enjoys other water activities like kayaking and fishing. With the little leisure time he rustles up, you are sure to find him spending time with his wife, Misti and his daughters, Logan and Faith on their hobby farm. You can also find him and Misti bonding over their plants in their garden. An underlying talent to pay attention to is Lorne’s excellent dancing skills and his snazzy dressing. On a typical Sunday morning Lorne is at Eternal Church in Fort Mill, South Carolina fellowshiping, volunteering and praising Jesus, to whom he credits his success.
